One of the most wonderful times in a kitchen garden is the time when you begin to see the first harvest ready plants.

Part of what we probably feel is relief, that our efforts in the garden haven’t been wasted and partly a strange joy of creation (self congratulatory as it seems).

Best part is, the joy doesn’t seem to fade no matter how many gardens (or seasons) you’ve done before.
