Mild weather, cosmopolitan crops.

Bengaluru's climate is unusually friendly to a wide range of vegetables — temperate-zone crops like lettuce, broccoli, and herbs grow nearly year-round, alongside Indian staples.

Apartment balconies dominate the city's gardening scene. Pigeons and AC drip are less of an issue than in Mumbai; light is the bigger constraint depending on which floor and direction.
