Workshops
Come and get some soil under your fingernails.
Yogita's been running kitchen gardening workshops since 2011 — in Goa, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and now online too. They're not lectures. We bring seeds, soil, seedlings, tools, and actual living plants onto the table, and most of the session is spent with our hands in things.
The goal is always the same: you leave knowing exactly what to plant in your space, when, and what to do if something goes sideways.

Bring us to your team, school, or society
We run private kitchen gardening sessions for corporate teams, schools, and housing societies — either at your location, or online as webinars.
Whether it's an Earth Day activity, a CSR program, a school's environment module, or a housing society's Sunday event, we can design something that fits.
What we offer:
- In-person workshops — we come to you with seeds, soil, seedlings. 90 minutes to 3 hours, hands-on.
- Virtual webinars — live online sessions with seed kits couriered in advance.
- Multi-session programs — a series across a growing season. Participants set up a real garden.
- Event appearances — demos or short sessions for fairs, school fests, sustainability events.
After the workshop
-
Sunita Balser, Goa

-
That Goan Girl
"The team was genuinely helpful — offered real advice, not a sales pitch."
-
Workshop alumna, Mumbai
"I'd tried and failed with balcony gardening twice before. Came for the beginners' workshop — by December I had more coriander than we could eat."
COMMON QUESTIONS
About our workshops
How do I book a workshop?
Pick the session you want above. You'll get a confirmation email with location, what to bring (usually nothing, we supply it all), and a WhatsApp group you'll join the day before. Trouble booking online? WhatsApp us and we'll sort it manually.
What's the difference between beginner and intermediate workshops?
Beginner workshops cover the basics — sunlight, soil, seed vs seedling, when to plant, watering, organic pest control. You leave with a plan for your space and a seed starter kit.
Intermediate workshops are for people who've done a season or two: composting properly, seed saving, crop rotation, pest management across seasons, extending your growing year.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself and, ideally, a photo of the space you want to garden in. We bring the seeds, soil, tools, seedlings, and everything else. You'll leave with a seed starter kit included in the workshop fee.
Can I cancel or reschedule a workshop?
Yes. Cancel up to 7 days before for a full refund. Reschedule up to 48 hours before at no cost. Closer than that, things get harder — we'll do our best but can't always manage a refund. Do let us know either way.
How do online workshops actually work?
Live sessions on Zoom — not pre-recorded videos. A week before, we post you a seed starter kit so you can plant along, not just watch. Same three-hour format, same hands-on approach, same Yogita teaching.
FOR TEAMS, SCHOOLS, AND ORGANISATIONS
Group sessions
How do I book a private workshop for my team?
Fill in the enquiry form on our Contact page with your organisation, group size, and what you have in mind. We'll come back with a proposal in a few working days. Or email info@greenessentials.in.
Do you travel outside Goa for corporate workshops?
Yes. Yogita travels across India for corporate sessions — most often Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Delhi/NCR, but we've been to other cities too. Travel costs are quoted transparently in the proposal.
What's the typical group size?
Sweet spot is 15–30 participants for a proper hands-on session. Smaller groups give deeper engagement. Larger groups (50+) work as demo-style or talk-and-activity formats. We'll suggest the right format based on what you're aiming for.
Do you offer virtual webinars for distributed teams?
Yes. Especially good for companies with employees across cities. We courier seed starter kits in advance so the session stays practical. Typically 60–90 minutes live on Zoom or your platform.
